Trowland Cottage was purchased by our client as a cottage with fantastic views across the marsh in Burnham Norton.
The Architect created a design that included a major extension and complete renovation throughout.
Some interesting concepts were included in the design, for example a semi circular turret formed in flint which encased a
circular staircase and also a curved porch, built from flint to form the entrance to the house.
A mixture of local materials were sourced from flint and chalk to reclaimed brick and roof tiles, in order to retain the
character of the original cottage.
Furthermore we retained the services of local craftsmen and contractors, to complete what is now a stunning development.
The project was successfully completed on time and within budget.
